Deborah is currently in private psychiatric practice specializing in PTSD trauma, while serving as adjunct faculty for graduate and doctoral nursing programs at Univ. of Saint Joseph CT, USA, and as a psychiatric consultant to Goodwin University, CT.
Deborah also currently serves as Director of Nursing Affairs for the international NGO, as well as being a champion for Nurses Against Forced Organ Harvesting, (NAFOH) and Secretary, Doctors Against Forced Organ harvesting (DAFOH). She is a media consultant on raising awareness of medical organ transplant tourism and unethical forced organ harvesting from living people in China. Moreover, Deb brings a wealth of previous experience as a psychiatric APRN clinician for the Department of Defense, VAHC.
Michelle Fuhrmann, APRN
Michelle Fuhrmann, a board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry, brings a wealth of experience to her practice, having worked in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings for many years. She earned her Master’s Degree from Pace University and is a trauma-informed provider with extensive experience as the Director of Nursing in a Correctional facility. She also worked for ten years at the VA.
Michelle profoundly understands the unique challenges faced by First Responders, Veterans, and their families. Her specialization includes working with Law Enforcement Officials, Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, Corrections Personnel, and Medical Personnel. She is well-versed in addressing issues related to trauma, PTSD, hypervigilance, and addictions.
With a keen insight into the needs and perspectives of her clients, Michelle runs an addiction group specifically designed for First Responders with Substance Use Disorders. She is dedicated to helping her clients manage the continued trauma and stress inherent in their professions. Michelle’s passion lies in instilling confidence and promoting self-compassion, empowering her clients to take control of their lives and move forward confidently.
